CURRENT PROJECTS
Larkspur Biosciences
Larkspur Biosciences is a start-up working with small molecules to increase the sensitivity of cancer cells to our own immune systems. Their first clinical trials begin this fall. In particular, we are working with Larkspur this semester to help them gather information about the fibrosis market as they are looking to expand the functionality of their small molecules. This entails market/competitor research and analysis, as well as funding research, particularly into already established foundations/organizations involved in fibrosis care.
Sacyl Pharmaceuticals
Sacyl Pharmaceuticals is a start-up working to develop a novel male contraceptive pill. We are partnering with Sacyl and Male Contraceptive Initiative in their efforts to establish a $1 billion global contraceptive fund. They would like the Business Subteam’s help with finding individuals and organizations of interest that would be interested in contributing to the fund. The sub team may also have an opportunity to get involved in market research, particularly with underdeveloped nations.
PAST PROJECTS
Mission-Driven Tech (2023-2025)
The Business Subteam is consulting with Mission-Driven Tech, a startup launching a modern, female-fitted brachytherapy device for cervical cancer patients, in efforts to improve treatment accessibility and outcomes.
The team works on grant research, fundraising strategy, and other business operations to help increase capital for the women’s health venture.
Arterenal (2023)
The Business Subteam partnered with Arterenal, a startup that aims to address unmet needs within the vascular graft space. They conducted market analysis and health economic research to help outline a value proposition in preparation for Arterenal’s launch of their bio-durable graft for dialysis patients.
